The second round of the 1985 F1 World Championship was held at the Estoril circuit in Portugal on 24st April. In only his second race for the Lotus-Renault team Ayrton Senna started from pole position and simply dominated the race. His ability to pull away from the field in the wet conditions was an example of how good the young Brazilian would eventually be.
