The unique Chaparral 2J was the first racing car to use side skirts and a suction fan to create massive extra downforce. The car was incredibly successful at qualifying, normally 1-2 seconds quicker than the rest, However finishing an actual race proved incredibly difficult. It managed it just once at Road Atlanta, coming home in 6th position. Here the car is depicted leading the L&M Lola T220 of Peter Revson during qualifying for Laguna Seca. As usual Vic was fastest by nearly 2 seconds. Unfortunately an engine fault meant he could not start the race.
This is a Giclee edition of just 50 copies.
